But mostly because of the amazing fashion. Peter pan collars, brightly coloured clothes and accessories that became fashionable in the 1950's and pleated (puffy), classy and feminine dresses that became an alternative to the tight waist and full skirts. Designers such as: Balenciaga and Dior had shown unfitted suits and an A-line dresses, (that became very popular). However, it was Coco Chanel that made a massive comeback and created the Chanel suit, that became the 'highlight' of the 1950's. Obviously not forgetting about some amazing personalities like, Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe.
